St Francis United Church is situated in Sedgefield in the heart of the Garden Route. St Francis United Church is an interdenominational congregation consisting of approximately 120 members, most of whom are elderly and retired. Our members come from different church backgrounds, and have united to form a community of believers, whose aim is to continue the work of Christ in word and deed. The church is managed by a Board of Management elected by the congregation.

Minister’s Responsibility:

• Spiritual leader of St Francis United Church.
• Leading Sunday services and administering Holy Communion once a month.
• Pastoral care of individual congregants.
• Growing the congregation both spiritually and in membership.

Requirements:

• An ordained minister from an established Protestant denomination.
• Suitable qualifications from an accredited recognized institution and experience in preaching and teaching.
• Competence in counselling, youth ministry and community outreach.
• The position would suit a recently retired minister, in good health and young in spirit, who will actively participate in the various activities of the church.

Remuneration and Benefits:

• Stipend/salary: negotiable.
• Manse is available for the appointed minister.
